Kaspersky Lab awarded 2009 ICT Best Choice by III – No 1 for corporate antivirus category in Information Security domain.

Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, announces that it was awarded 2009 ICT Best Choice by III – No 1 for corporate antivirus category in Information Security domain in Taiwan. During IIT’s 13th annual “ICT Best Choice IT Voting”, corporate-users were surveyed with questionnaires in order to accurately capture their views on the various IT vendors. From Sept to Nov 2009, III targeted the seven major industry sectors of manufacturing, information services, finance/ insurance, telecommunications, government/education, logistics, trade, retail and services for research in Taiwan. The figure shows the ranking statistics for 2009 ICT Best Choice voting exercise.

This year, under the corporate antivirus category in the IT security domain, Kaspersky Lab received the most support from corporate-users. Being voted champion means that the company has challenged the stereotypical image in people’s mind that the Taiwanese corporate market is carved up long ago and no other player can get into it. The innovative “Kaspersky Open Space Security” has already become the 2010 first choice leading brand in anti-virus products amongst corporations.

Receiving the award on behalf of the company, managing director for Kaspersky Lab Asia Pacific, Mr. Harry Cheung said “I am very excited that Kaspersky has won the tough competition and became the 2009 No. 1 anti-virus brand voted by corporate-users. In fact, Kaspersky Lab has relentlessly pursued new technologies through R&D, and has actually released many benchmark technologies in the information security industry before many of our competitors, including solutions targeted at Linux, Unix and NetWare. Furthermore, we have consistently updated our anti-virus database technology such that our customers are shielded by the most rigorous anti-virus protection. I am very pleased and grateful that for the recognition and support from our Taiwanese corporate customers. Kaspersky will continue to live up to the spirit of innovation and research, so as to provide the best and most advanced anti-virus technological solutions in the domain of IT security.”

Ms. Rosa Shih, General Manager of T-Tech, Kaspersky corporate products distributor in Taiwan, expressed that “Since we started acting as the distributor for Kaspersky Lab corporate products, besides promoting the latest R2 version, we have proactively trained and deployed Kaspersky Lab’s professional distribution partners in the country such that our corporate customers in every region will be able to receive professional services and information.
